Izmir, Turkey's third-largest city, is a relaxed, sunny place on the Aegean Sea, and a lovely city to visit for your wedding dress fittings. Here is what to expect.
Your timeline at a glance
- 6 months before: First contact, consultation and design.
- 5–4 months before: Fabric selection and measurements, in person or remotely.
- 3–1 months before: Fittings.
- 2–3 weeks before: Final fitting and collection or delivery.
Shorter timelines are sometimes possible; just ask us as early as you can.
How many fittings will I need?
For most made-to-measure gowns, two to four fittings are typical. Designs with detailed lace work or a structured corset may need more. If you're travelling from abroad, we'll plan the fittings so they fit your trip.
What to bring to your fitting
- The shoes you'll wear on the day (heel height sets the hem length)
- Your wedding-day underwear or shapewear
- Accessories and, if you have one, your veil
- One or two people whose opinion you trust
Getting to the atelier
Our atelier is in Konak, central Izmir, in the Yenihan business centre on Vali Kazım Dirik Avenue, a short walk from Çankaya metro station. Izmir Adnan Menderes Airport is connected to the city by train (İZBAN) and taxi. Visits are by appointment, every day from 10:00 to 20:00.
Make it a trip
Between fittings, walk along the Kordon seafront, explore Kemeraltı bazaar, or take a day trip to Çeşme, Alaçatı or the ancient city of Ephesus. Many brides bring their mother, sister or bridesmaids along and turn the fittings into a celebration.
Can't travel?
No problem. Measurements can be taken remotely and your gown delivered to your door. Read our guide on ordering a custom wedding dress from abroad.
